We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the scale-up and process integration of hydrometallurgical and materials synthesis routes developed within the Transforming Waste into Innovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Process Design & Scale-Up: Translate lab-scale protocols into robust pilot-scale processes for vanadium and silicate recovery; design and optimize reactor configurations; establish mass and energy balances and operating windows.
· Engineering Documentation & Industrial Integration: Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and contribute to P&IDs; define equipment specifications; evaluate integration scenarios with industrial partners.
· Techno-Economic & Environmental Assessment: Contribute to techno-economic analysis; participate in environmental and sustainability assessments; ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
· Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with researchers, technicians and external partners; participate in project meetings; prepare technical reports and support technology transfer activities.
Profil recherché
Required Qualifications
· Engineering degree (Bac+5 / Ingenieur dEtat) in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
· Experience in chemical process design and scale-up (hydrometallurgy, inorganic chemistry, or similar) is highly desirable.
· Familiarity with process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL, or equivalent) is an advantage.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to translate experimental data into engineering specifications.
· Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills.
